New furby triangle security screw

I was able to remove this using my trusing 62 piece Boxer security bit set. I had to file down the edges of the bit just a little so that it would fit. ::: tags: newfurby hack furby hacked

Furby Fur Tabs

Furby Microphone

I had to cut this off because it was attached to the exoskeleton in a way that it couldn't be removed without cutting it. I re-attached it to the motherboard. ::: tags: newfurby hack furby hacked

New Furby Motherboard

Furby Motherboard, Note Diagnostic Port

So the creators of the Furby motherboard have helpfully left nice big solder pads (J2) that connect to the RSC-4128 diagnostic port. Once I get my developer kit form Sensory I will know more about this, but hopefully it will be a serial port. New Furby RSC-4128

The RSC-4128 is the chip in the center covered with epoxy. The pink blurry thing is a transformer (I think) I'm not sure what the other blob of epoxy is on the upper left. ::: tags: newfurby hack furby hacked

Furby ROM / RAM Chip

Furby Opto-encoder TI 01CJ4CK HC14

Texas Instruments 01CJ4CK HC14 I couldn't find this part in their catalog, but I am pretty sure this board is an opto-encoder, used to tell the processor where the cam is positioned ::: tags: newfurby hack furby hacked
